Hi, I'm Robby!  Our family has been at Heartwood since 2023 with one kiddo currently in the 2nd grade and one in Sunflower TK.  I'm a career software engineer by trade, currently leading large teams doing health research, but in another life I'd love to be a summer camp counselor.  Preferably at a summer camp with a lot of bikes :)

Our whole family is incredibly grateful to be here at Heartwood, and helping raise money for our programs is one of the best ways I can come up with to give back and try and keep making this place better and better.  So let's do it!

"Chief Fundraiser"

Our family has been blessed to be a part of Heartwood since our boys’ preschool days in 2018. This year Forest is a fifth grader and Fox is a third grader! Heartwood has helped shape them into such fine boys - full of joy, talent, curiosity, and strength. Bless this place!

I love dancing, yoga, raw oysters, the light at dusk, and writing poems. My favorite colors are pink and purple. Driving people around is my love language. 

Our family stays inspired and nourished by this community and I am so happy to serve on the HEC Board. Thanks to all of you for making Heartwood such a marvelous place in so many ways.

Courtney brings over a decade of experience supporting schools and programs through various roles. She brings expertise in philanthropy, development, and community engagement. Her background includes fundraising, event planning, and community outreach. She is excited to contribute to the school's mission through the work of the Heartwood Educational Collaborative.

Communications

Heartwood has been an amazing school and community for us since my daughter Fiona started here in 2023. Now that she is in the 2nd grade and her little sister Greta is in TK I am more motivated than ever to play my part on the HEC to continue to enrich all of our children's education and experiences at Heartwood and beyond.

Treasurer

Hi, I'm Anna. I'm happy to join the team lend my twenty years of experience in the accounting world as treasurer of the HEC.  Our family has been part of the Heartwood community since 2020, with our daughter Freya now in the 5th grade. We love Heartwood for the unique experiences it offers and look forward to all of the fun memories we'll get to look back on one day.  My husband Mark and I are both Fairfax natives and there was nothing better than growing up in such a beautiful little town. To now be able to raise our children in the same magical setting and watch them thrive on our old stomping grounds has been a dream.
